Hate British and want Asylum in Britain

To me, if the countries that so hated the west with their theocratic zealots, why the people still want to seek political asylum in the west. Want to enjoy the good social security handout of western governments.

1990

1990 happened to be one of the memorable year in my life. I spent the time in college hall working as janitor during summer holiday. That was the time, I was staying in Riddel Hall, part of  Queen’s Elm Hall,  in The Queen’s University of Belfast.

That was the year, I witnessed this great man in action. No, he did not play the game, he was the England manager.

Paul Gascoigne cried in the semi final of football world cup against German.

Everyone was jubilant leading up to the game and the only person in worry was the chief of electricity utility board back then, because during half time, almost everyone will rush into kitchen to turn on the kettle for  a cup. The whole British Isle grid would have suddenly overloaded during the half time. But I had beer , like others, it was a party, even the typical Northern Irish that hated the guts of British would have wanted England to win.

I guess that was the time, we brushed aside our differences and with the beer in our hand, what else to worry and let along a major black out ?

England lost the game and it was one of the most memorable part of my life, nail biting till the end for penalty shoot out.

Yasmin

The late Yasmin Ahmad created some very heart touching commercial and short films. Well known one being “Sepet” .

I will always remember her as the creator of the Petronas commercial.

I got to know that this is one of her last work, commissioned by Singapore authority.
