Replacement

I used to be managing people for sometimes. So I had some staffs that traveled to work in US before. On a few occasion, after the staff came back from traveling, they used to request for some time off due to local holiday (like Raya,, Chinese New Years off day) . I used to be rather easy going by allowing them take some time off for that , after the fact.

Recently, I observed another such case and I gave it a deep thought, though I am no longer managing them, I was thinking, whether is it fair for these folks to ask for time off. Then,I realized, it is actually NOT OK to give them time off. Reason being, for example, US observed Thanksgiving and these folks had a few days off for that in US , when they come back to Malaysia, they never replaced it back by working on weekend to make up for the days they did not work at all, even though they are officially under Malaysian payroll.

For that, I will not allow such request in the future if I manage again.

    dont have to replace raya or deepa leave for them. they’re just abusing it!
